  • Does the recipient have to be home to receive their package?
    No, we do not require signature receipt. However, we strongly recommended that you keep track of your package since it contain perishable items and needs refrigeration immediately upon arrival.
  • Do you accept returns?
    Because of the nature of our perishable products and for safety and health reasons, we cannot accept returns or make exchanges.
  • Do you have Gluten-Free products?
    Yes, our Vegetarian option, the Red Peas soup is also Gluten-Free.
  • How long does shipping take?
    Because our soups are made to order and is considered a high-value specialty product, we prepare small batches once weekly based on orders. This means it may take us 5-7 days to fulfill an order, after which it’s shipped out. We ship only on Monday or Tuesdays to safeguard from delays. The shipping time depends on your location and method of shipping. Due to the nature of our products and for food safety and freshness guarantee, we ONLY offer TWO day shipping via FedEx or UPS at this time. This typically ranges from 1-2 days max*. Please note that shipment costs may be higher than normal for this expedited service. If your soup takes longer to arrive than the estimated delivery window, our customer service team will assist with tracking and shipment assistance.
  • How are the soups shipped?
    Our soups are shipped in temperature control pouches via USPS express. Please check the shipping rates on our website. At this time, we are only shipping to customers in the United States.
  • Can I get a refund?
    For the most part our soup purchases are generally nonrefundable. We strive to provide the highest quality products as described on our website. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with any of our products, please send an email to info@yummyjamaican.com and a customer service agent will reach out to get more details. Please note that this does not mean we accept or is agreeing to your reasoning for a refund request or that such request will be granted.
  • Can I warm up soups in the pouch it came in?
    No, the soup pouches are not made for heating. Please pour your soups in a microwavable bowl for microwave heating or a suitable pot for stove top heating. The pouches can however store leftover soup in the freezer. Please make note of the recommended storage times.
  • Are your ingredients Kosher?
    Not at this time.
  • Why are your shipping costs higher than what I am used to?
    Because of the nature of our frozen food products and the USDA and FDA requirements for storage and shipping, we have to use expedited shipping for all orders. This is to keep your soups safe and fresh. We promise that it will be worth it. Our soups are made to order and is considered a high-value specialty product we know you will enjoy.
  • How do I prepare and store my soup after delivery?
    Upon receipt, remove the soup from the packaging. Freeze, refrigerate, or prepare immediately. Your soup most likely will arrive semi-frozen or thawed but cool. If your soup is semi-frozen and you wish to consume it right away, immerse in a container in cool water for 30-40 minutes. If you wish to consume at a later time that time, place your soup in the coolest part of your refrigerator until its time to thaw fully before heating. These methods are considered safe by the USDA. To heat up your soup, slowly pour desired amount of soup into a saucepan (1-2 cups per serving). Warm on medium heat until heated through, stirring occasionally. To microwave, pour desired amount of soup into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high, loosely covered, for 3-5 minutes. . If needed, microwave in 30-second increments until fully heated through. Please ensure you carefully test temperature before consumption. The USDA recommends heating soup to 165 degrees for safe consumption. Refrigerate any leftovers. If you want to save some of your soup for later, you can safely refreeze a portion of it. We recommend that you consume you store your soup as directed and consume generally within 3-4 days for freshness and food safety.
  • Where can I find ingredients and nutritional information?
    You can find the nutritional information for each flavor of soup by clicking on the back of the corresponding soup image file on our website. Nutritional information is also labeled similarly on the actual package.
  • Where do soups ship from?
    Your soup package will be shipped from New York
  • Do I need to prepare soups after purchase?
    Our soups come frozen, already cooked just ready to heat and serve. You can also freeze soups immediately after delivery to preserve freshness and life of the soup. We recommend following the expiration dates to ensure quality. Please follow serving instructions on package for best results. Please see our Food safety guide listed on our website.
  • Are you soups Gluten Free?
    We offer a Gluten Free and Vegetarian option in the Red Peas Soup. Please read label carefully for allergy information. Additionally, please click on the Ingredients & Nutrition tab at the bottom of the site for more information.
